Guthrie Park Table Tennis Club Pavilion

Guthrie Park Table Tennis Club is located in Scotland, UK within the cathedral city of Brechin, Angus.

We play within the cricket pavilion at Guthrie Park, home of Brechin Buccaneers Cricket Club, at Drumachlie Park, Brechin DD9 7BU.

After an absence of about 20 years of no formal table tennis club and not participating in the local Dundee & Distict TTA leagues, an application was put in or for funding for a new table tennis table through "Your Budget Your Choice". Luckily the local residents voted to allow the purchase of a brand new table as one of their projects and, with help from the cricket club, we were formed.

It is open to all and currently all welcome, regardless of standards from beginner to expert, young and old, on a Thursday evening or practise on a Sunday evening between 6pm and 9:30pm. We do not charge unless you wish to become a member and want to participate in league play.

We only have 1 table for use but 3 others in storage (donated by local high school) if, and / or when, we can increase our membership and seek bigger premises. The playing area is within a traditional cricket pavilion main room and has wooden flooring, and about 12m x 5m.

We currently have 6 regular players, so quite small in number, but we hope that increases in the coming months. The majority are older players.

We have entered a team into the local leagues playing on a Thursday evening and will have regular fixtures throughout the winter period.

We are a new club so still in our infancy, so no coaching as yet, but visitors are welcome. Playing has to booked as the facilities are shared with other clubs.

Our club is about participation rather than world domination in the world of the ITTF.

New members welcomed.
